Hello and welcome from our team, here at New Dawn Malinois Rescue we are passionate about saving Malanois, promoting the amazing qualities this unique breed has and raising awareness of what makes a suitable home for each individual Malinois. This way and only this way can we ensure a bright future for the dogs.
Recently it's become increasingly difficult for us ( and other rescues) to find suitable homes for malinois
This is because a malinois even the most laid back low drive malinois is high maintenance high energy and not suitable for the majority of pet dog homes
The majority of malis in rescue have issues or specific needs making them even harder to replace
We have made the decision that we will also help other rescues pounds and owners with other dog breeds and mixed breeds
To do this we need more fosters
We are looking for fosters who have experience with pet dogs of different breeds
We are not intending to take difficult to manage dogs or dogs with long term intensive rehabilitation and retraining needs or dogs with a bite history
We are looking for fosters who are able to integrate a dog who has always lived as a pet into their home
We will of course offer our usual support to our fosters
We can assist with costs incurred while caring for one of our dogs
At the moment our plans are very much in the infancy stages and we are trying to find ways we can help the 1000s of dogs who find themselves without a home are at risk of pts etc
If you have any ideas how we can continue our work saving dogs lives or would consider fostering for us we would love to hear from you
New Dawn Malinois Rescue is dedicated to rescuing and providing forever homes for dogs in need.
We offer fostering and adoption, please see our available dogs below.
We also rehome dogs, if you are the owner of a Malinois who needs to be rehomed please contact us so we can discuss your dogs needs.
New Dawn Malinois Rescue was founded in 2017, since then we have assisted in the rehoming of hundreds of dogs including some to the forces as working dogs.
Our team of dedicated volunteers work tirelessly to assist all that need our help. As we are all volunteers please be aware responses may not be instantaneous but we will come back to you as soon as possible. We are passionate, knowledgeable, and committed to our mission.
Lola is 8 months old. She came with her sister Koda and needs a home of her own. Lola is a complete blank canvas and will need full training. She is lively, confident, playful and a ball of energy! She is outgoing and shows no sign of aggression towards humans. Pet home considered but she will need to be kept busy.
Beverley is an absolutely delightful girl who desperately needs somewhere to call home. She is approx 2 years old and would love to be a loyal companion. Beverley attended some residential training but this needs to be continued. She could live with another dog with careful introductions and management, she is choosy with who she likes and who she doesnt!
Jet is a large unruly adolescent male, would suit a working home or a domestic home with substantial knowledge of the breed.
Here at New Dawn Malinois Rescue we try to assist as many dogs as we possibly can. However this can be costly and we often find ourselves in need of funds for food, transport, training or accommodation for the dogs in our care.
If you can set up a monthly donation even for £1 you can help us to reach more dogs in need.
